HBHA news: May 09th, 2010

In preparation for the 2011 World Ball Hockey Championship in Slovakia, the HBHA held a tryout camp in Montreal.

Looking for a younger crop of talent, the HBHA brass was delighted with the turn out. Forty players attended the camp and, among them, we saw many new young faces as well as a few familiar ones.

The tryout consisted of fast paced scrimmages and information sessions about the player requirements for eligibility. With all this available talent, the coaching staff will have a few difficult decisions to make, therefore, please keep in mind that, in order to be considered for an invitation to the final camp in September 2011, all the necessary paper work must be in process of completion.

The HBHA wants to thank all the participants and organizers that attended our camp.

Contact your fellow HBHA representative with your inquiries.

Thanks and good luck!

HBHA news: February 20th, 2010

Following the yearly HBHA committee meeting, held in February 2010, it has been decided that two tryout camps (open to everyone) will be organized to meet the growing interest in the Greek national ball hockey team. From these two camps the coaching staff may select players to attend the final camp in September of 2010.

Are you a ball hockey player with Greek ancestry interested by the possibility of putting your hockey skills on display at an international level? Then you have come to the right place. The HBHA is the governing body for all ball hockey operations in Greece. We are currently seeking new talent for our 2011 roster headed to Slovakia for the World Ball Hockey Championship.

This is a great oppurtinity to join an exciting team that captured Gold (B pool) in Plzen, CZE at the 2009 World Ball Hockey Championship. This team will be under the experienced guidance of Gus Kourissis, who, as a player, won Gold playing for Team Canada in the past and has also won MVP honors at this tournament. In 2009 he represented Greece as a player but will be making his transition to Head Coach for the 2011 tournament. He is looking to bring this team to a new level of competition.

If you are curious about the possibility of joining our team for an unforgettable experience in Slovakia for the 2011 World Ball Hockey Championship then don't waste any more time, contact one of our representatives today and find out how you can join the team.
